She loves to help Mommy with cooking, dishes, wiping the counter, sweeping and mopping but gets really annoyed if she has to clean up her toys or her room. Lately she has been showing attitude by saying, "Whatever!" and "Why should I?!"
She is the one who always remembers the prayer at meals and reminds Mom by refusing to touch her food until it's been blessed.
Sienna not only loves to help cook, but she also loves to play with her toy food and puts together big "feasts" for Mom. She does this often during quiet time and then brings it to Mom who can't get mad at her for coming out when she is being so sweet :)
Sienna still loves books a lot and goes to sleep every night with a tall stack of books beside her on the bed. When asked what she wants from Santa Claus, she has only come up with "Christmas books" so far.
Stuffed animals also continue to be a favorite toy and her collection only gets bigger. Mom has tried to get her to choose some to get rid of but she just loves them all too much.
She asks to play games on Mom's phone several times a day and is in a phase where she is often "bored" or has "nothing to do". Other times she comes up with games on her own (like "organizing" in which you stack bean bags in various patterns or on top of various objects, or "bean bag fighting" in which she gets to throw bean bags at me and I'm not supposed to retaliate until she's through.)
Sienna loves her brother Riley and they play together all day long. Sometimes the playing turns a little mean, and Sienna has been a bully from time to time, but she likes having him around. So much that today she let him out of his room during what was supposed to be his nap time and Mom didn't realize until quite a while later.
Sienna sometimes asks Mom when she is going to get her baby sister. Mom is NOT pregnant, FYI. but Sienna is hoping for a little sister in the future.
She is adamant that she wants to be a pilot someday and seems to think that she can't also be a Mother. We are pretty sure that she picked this up from conversations with Mom and Dad in which they were telling her all of the possibilities for when she grew up ("You could be a dancer, or a chef, or a doctor, or a veteranarian, or a pilot!") and for some reason that is the word that she latched on to.
Sienna is very shy around strangers, or even people that she has met many times. It takes quite some time for her to warm up but once she does, she is a loyal friend.
Her favorite food is spaghetti, favorite color purple, favorite books: the Berenstain Bears, Favorite thing to do: watch TV or do "crafts"
We can hardly believe that Sienna is going to be starting Kindergarten next year and we are very proud of the young lady she has become. She is smart, beautiful, sweet (most of the time), mature for her age, caring, and excited about life. We love having her around!
