One Month Old!

Dear Sienna Sue,

You are growing up so fast!

You have developed a nasty habit of waiting until your diaper is off and then relieving yourself. It doesn’t matter if you JUST peed/pooped IN the diaper…you’ll go again once that diaper is removed. You also have very good aim and though you haven’t covered either of us with poop yet, it’s only a matter of time.

You hold your hands in tight little fists most of the time. You can’t quite get one into your mouth yet, but you try!

You eat about every 3 hours, and wake me up twice (3 am and 6 am) during the night. I’m looking forward to a full 8 hours sleep!

When you are hungry you let me know by trying to suck on everything that comes in contact with your mouth- your hands, the blanket, mommy’s neck, cheek or nose. Mommy loves those little “kisses” from Sienna!

You can already hold your head up for several seconds all by yourself!

Mommy and Daddy have already had your picture taken TWICE, and both times you threw a fit! I’m hoping that you’ll grow out of hating that soon so that we can get a cute, smiley picture.

You’re a water baby. When you take baths in your baby tub, you lay on the little hammock like you don’t have a care in the world, usually dangling an arm or a leg in the water. You seem to be thinking, “Life is good!”

You’re a messy little girl. Some days mommy has to change your outfit 3 or 4 times because of your poopy explosions. Our laundry basket is never empty these days. You’re getting a little better about keeping it in your diaper, but even if you weren’t, you’re worth the extra work!

You belch and fart like a grown man.

You now weigh 10 lbs 15 oz and have graduated to a size 1 diaper!
