Kids Update

I can't believe I've let this much time pass since blogging :( There is so much to update!  Cassidy is walking a ton now-she waited until she was about 14 months to take off, and even now, she crawls if she falls down.  She also talks!  She asks for her "baa baa" (bottle), says Dada, night night, hi, and I've heard her say "Enna" for Sienna too!  Her personality is coming out more every day.  She loves to play with the mega blocks she got from Santa, the pretend food and kitchen toys in her room and LOVES to send cars down the tracks that Riley builds in his bedroom.  She loves to take baths (but when she is done, she is DONE and tries to climb out).  Today she sat with Riley on the couch for a little while and watched "Caillou".  She brings me stories to read to her all the time.  She is seriously SO fun to have right now.

Riley is so cute.  Right now we are trying to help him quit wearing a diaper at night.  The potty alarm that only took Sienna one night to stop peeing...doesn't seem to be helping our sleepy boy at all.  Riley loves going to preschool at miss Veronica's, he loves building and rebuilding his train track everyday and always requests special time with mom and dad.  He's the skinniest little thing we've ever seen and cracks us up when he wanders out of his quarters naked...today he was headed upstairs, I assume to his room to get dressed, but he was nude and hopping on one foot.  :)  He went through a funny but semi annoying phase recently where he would hide and shout "BOO!" every time you came into the room he was in.  We almost always knew he was there and it didn't really scare us...but it was funny.  We are so glad to have Riley in our family!

Sienna lost her bottom two teeth during January!  She's in first grade still and loving it.  She was so disappointed that she has 3 weeks off of school this month.  She is super helpful (sometimes after an initial attitude).  She's been working on memorizing the articles of faith and pretty much has the first 5 down.  We work on them on Sundays and then she will randomly start spouting them off throughout the week to make sure she remembers.  She loves to be read to (right now we're reading Ramona every night) and has been loving Junie B. Jones books that she borrows from her school library.  She tested for advanced placement in 2nd grade because she is so far ahead in her reading level and we'll hear back in April if she will be able to do it.  Her 7th birthday is in just a few months (How did that happen??).  Today I took her to Kid 2 Kid and bought her a bunch of new clothes since she's getting so big.  She was embarrassed but ended up really loving modeling her clothes for us and our friends Phil and Jihey.  We love our Sienna Sue!

That is a really incomplete update about these wonderful kiddos but it'll have to do since I've slacked so long in writing :(  Here are some recent pictures to make up for that failure:

I needed to give Riley a bath (he was stinky), and Cassidy really wanted in...she tried to climb in wearing her pajamas!

Cassidy has found a spot on the stairs that she loves.  I think it's nice for her to be up off the floor and able to see what's going on on top of the table :)
